This is going to be the only review I have ever written for anything on Google maps, and just the fact that I'm willing to take time to make an account and review this place shows how terrible of an experience I had.I was passing by and visited here with my girlfriend to get a bottle of Jacob's Creek Moscato. I had just gotten my Class 5 driver's license a week before, so I didn't have any proper government ID (and besides, who carries their passport around?). I had forgotten about this fact but thought that since I am and look like a full-grown adult, it would be fine--they are a private store anyways. Upon entering, there was a girl giving out samples for a liquor and asked if we wanted to try some. I let her know that I didn't have government ID and showed her a bunch of credit cards and student ID, but sadly none of it had my birthday and she couldn't give me any samples. Ok, understandable. No problem. My girlfriend had ID though so she got some samples. Then one of the staff, a blonde woman, came over and told me this: "Just to let you know, you can't be in here while she girlfriend is shopping."I was paying attention to the girl with the samples so I didn't really hear the other one. "Sorry?" I said"Yea," she replied. "You can't be in here because you don't have ID."I am a 24 year old Asian man; 180 cm tall; 170 lbs; with stubble growing because I forgot to shave. I understand that the rule is if you look 25 or younger, they need to ask ID. I get this all the time at BC Liquor; it's no big deal. But for a private store to go out of their way to tell me I can't even be in here while my girlfriend is shopping? Absolutely ridiculous. So I say ok, sure, I'll leave. I tell my girlfriend to get the bottle of moscato, and I leave. Two minutes later she comes out empty-handed. "Where's the moscato?" I asked. She replied, "They won't let me buy it because they said you told me to buy it."This has been literally one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any liquor store, whether it be private or government. They do not care at all about potential customers. It would make more sense if I looked like some scrawny kid just barely 19 years old, or if I was trying to buy a 750 ml bottle of tequila. That would raise some alarm bells, but to deny a purchase to someone who actually has ID just because I, clearly a fully grown adult male, don't have ID and I told them to buy something?I will be notifying all of my friends, family, and their friends and family to stay far far away from this place. If you're reading this, take your business somewhere else. Don't give these guys your money. Johnson Street Liquor, literally just a block away on Johnson and Guildford, has a really good selection of wines. JAK's Beer Wine & Spirits, across from Save-On Foods, has some great beers that are uncommon here like Peche Mortel from Dieu de Ciel. The local BC Liquor, just two blocks away east near The Brick/Winners/Superstore, has a refrigerated cold zone for some selections and is also another great option. And to Liquor Depot staff and management, if you happen to be reading this: I hope for your sake you make some changes to how you handle your customers.

Price is good , 2 girls Staff were welcoming happy energetic and helpful.

They match prices to BCL.

Great staff extremely friendly both came up asked us what we need help with and we're very knowledgeable about their product and how long it's been on the Shelf what the best kinds were and their personal preferences. I would go out of my way to come back here if I was trying something new and when someone's opinion

I normally wouldn't be writing a review for a liquor depot, but this location deserves a bit of praise for its staff. I came in needing a lot of things done. From needing to recycle old bottles to needing to find a list of wines. And the staff that was there that night was so incredibly sweet and helpful. It was a bit unexpected as I did not assume that my task for the night to be so smooth and enjoyable. As a matter of fact, I left with some great suggestions for wine and I thoroughly enjoyed what was recommended. Ultimately this place was lovely, end of story.
