I had a horrible experience at Remix today. Based on the good reviews I decided to go there for highlights. I didnt have an appointment so I went there to see if they could take me. Elisabel who seemed very nice, took me and I was so happy and grateful for that. However, the master stylist simply neglected me and took another client after she was done with the bleaching. While I was left alone, after 15 minuets I felt my head was on fire. I tried to call her but because of the loud music she was not able to hear me. It didnt take more than 20 seconds that I screamed..I almost passed out.. OMG my scalp burned in different parts of my head.. I cried for more than half an hour as it was very painful and I left there with wet hair without wanting her to finish her work. Photos are taken after 8 hours and I still feel the pain. I am very frustrated and have to wait until my scalp heals up to get it fixed somewhere else. Wont go there ... Im not allergic to bleach as I have done that more than ten times and I absolutely had not used any kind of chemicals on my hairs before going there. Bottom line, do more research and please do not trust the great reviews.
I had been a customer at this salon by Elizabel for around 2 years till this spring 2018, left there and wont go back forever. Although almost always I brought photos of hair colour which I wanted, my hair colour was always made way too far from the photos. I complained as friendly as possible every time; however, she NEVER accepted her mistakes. I dont know why it had been happening, whether because of her poor skill or color sence, or because she did make the wrong colouring intentionally. What is worse, she always cost me a lot. Really a lot!! The average was around $600. While I didnt want to change the chemical material colouring my hair so kept on going to her salon, I cant stand anymore. Finally, I decided to end this tourturing relationship.
The hairstyles I went to did such a great job! I'm so grateful because when a hairdresser butchers my hair, all I want to do is cry. However, this studio did an excellent job. The front desk lady, forgot her name, shes a sweet young lady, is incredibly sweet and helpful. All in all, great place in our little Coquitlam city.
After being referred by a few of my friends, I've been happily getting my haircuts at Shampoo by Maria, she is great and she cuts my hair perfectly every time. It's my favourite salon I've ever been to. Everyone is very friendly and is always making sure you're receiving the best service they can possibly provide.
Maria has been doing my hair for 3 years and she does such a good job all the time with my highlights and haircut I trust her 100% because she knows exactly what I like, and remix is a great salon, everybody is very friendly
