I had someone come and do an estimate on a leak in my roof during the winter. Estimated $800 to fix the leak; However we were going to be redoing the roof in the spring, so I thought it seemed a bit crazy to pay that much for a temp. fix. Was suggested to try Penfolds Port Coquitlam. They would charge $300 for the call, but they said their guy may be able to do a temp fix that day. He came over, nice enough guy, looked at everything and put temporary roofing paper over my leak. He said since we were going to be replacing anyways, said that it should hold until we get the roof redone, but not to worry as they would guarantee their fix until the spring. We had a big wind storm and the paper started coming up. I called them and lo and behold, they wanted to charge me another $300 to tack the paper back down. I said that the guy had guaranteed his work. operator said, NOPE, $300 or they don't come out.We will not be using your company for our house now Penfolds!
I would use Penfolds again. From Michael, the sales rep, to the entire team, a first class experience.
The roof replacement project with Penfolds went very smoothly. It looks like the house has got a makeover. The main part of the job was done in 2 days. However, there was a hiccup in procuring some materials that delayed the completion by about 2 weeks. But, the job was done extremely professionally. The job was a bit pricey but I am very happy with the end result.
Sales experience was great.. the job was ok.. lots of construction debris was left over, there very unclear about all the services provided we thought that new gutters they would change the existing drain pipe but apparently not. Lets be clear we spent over 50K for this job. I would look elsewhere if I had to do this job again. The after sales services are also terrible we've had them come a few times for different reasons and every time they leave us with a bill. Overall not a good experience and we as our neighbors will not be using Penfolds again.
