The selection here isn't the greatest and the lady I dealt with wasn't the nicest. However, I went back the next day and the new sales associate was much nicer. So I wont judge the business based on that. I did end up buying a necklace, a musical note, and its perfect. Just what I wanted.
I bought my engagement and both wedding rings here from Hanson. He engraved and polished them all free. I would like to upgrade to a 2 carat engagement ring from a 1 carat but i cant afford it. Maybe later.....Hanson is very friendly and doesn't beat around the bush trying to convince or pressure you into buying. If you are looking for something in particular ask him.... He's very honest and knowledgeable.
So my husband and I got married last month and we had our rings handed down to us by family. We decided we wanted to get a brand new ring + matching wedding band that was more our style, so we went here. Rosie provided a quote (after some discussion) and gave us a quote based on our budget with a ring and matching wedding band we had selected. So we ordered them on the spot because we LOVED them. We used our original center diamond from our previous ring, and traded in the two gold bands as a store credit. She had originally provided us a higher quote, then lowered it based on the budget we provided her - as I was placing my order I had asked her how she was able to accommodate our budget and she said something about the surrounding diamonds being "lower" and when I asked for clarification, she corrected herself and said that the surrounding diamonds were perfect and top of the line. I was confused but whatever. My husband was with me and we BOTH heard her say multiple times that the quote included the ring AND the matching wedding band. So lo and behold, I go to pick them up after 3 weeks and is shocked when they hand me the wedding ring alone and ask me if I want a matching wedding band. I feel so lied to! Rosie is on vacation until August so I can't even ask her what happened. The two there basically told me I probably misunderstood and the amount Rosie quoted me is impossible for both rings. They tried to basically tell me they just went by what the order said and said the wedding band was not written down. How am I supposed to know these things? I have never ordered jewelry before, have no idea what these order forms are supposed to look like, or anything about the pricing.What I think happened was that she took off the wedding band without telling us, to lower the quote and make a sale. I feel SO lied to. I love the ring, no doubt about it, but that is some shady business. Nobody even apologized to me when I was clearly upset. It felt like they were placing the blame on my ability to interpret what was being said to me during the sale.I'm going back to talk to Rosie myself when she's back and will update this review as it goes on.
I was quoted a price to get an earring made. She practically wouldn't let me leave. I said I need to price around. She wrote quote on card and I left. I came back maybe 3 months later and she said oh no I can't do it this cheap. Almost made it like I faked the card. I feel if quote something you honor it. Period. I said I will never come back there again.
Best on site repairs for all your jewelry! Its the only jewelry store that has a jeweller on site. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Its nice to know that to repair your precious rings, necklaces, or other items they dont ship them out. Theres no longer a need to wait weeks to have your repairs done on the jewelry you wear all the time. In just a few days you can have it back looking better than brand new. Love this place!!!
